Jeremy D. Vos

M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Vos grew up just across the Mississippi River in Macomb, Illinois, and throughout his childhood got to know Eastern Iowa while visiting his grandfather’s farm near Pella. Dr. Vos moved to Iowa City when he was 18, and completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics at the University of Iowa, graduating with highest distinction. He then attended medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was inducted into the medical honors society, Alpha Omega Alpha. His education next took him to Nashville, Tennessee, where he completed a General Surgery internship, followed by four additional years of specialty training in Otolaryngology surgical residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

After residency, Dr. Vos was thrilled to move back home to Iowa, joining ENT Medical Services Medical Services in August 2006. In addition to practicing all aspects of Otolaryngology, Dr. Vos serves on the Humanitarian Efforts Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, the national governing organization for all ENT physicians.

In the fall of each year, he goes on a surgical mission trip to southeastern Nigeria. The team of surgeons typically performs around 90 much-needed head and neck operations in the two-week trip. In his spare time, Dr. Vos enjoys bicycling, and looks forward to RAGBRAI each year—all the way across Iowa. Additional hobbies include kayaking, hiking, traveling, digital photography, and choral singing.
